My month in hell

Yes, I know, I've been a terrible blogger for the last month-- posting late or not posting at all, and I am terribly, dreadfully sorry about it. Really, I am. But a black cloud has taken up residence over my house-- and my life-- and I have been in hell.

Between contracting pneumonia while my kids had strep throat to battling my son's school district (lawyer involved) to scrapping an entire book and starting over from scratch nine days before it was due to having my father-in-law on death's door to having my husband's sixteen-year-old-niece die to having my middle child knock out my baby's tooth amid copious blood (he will have a whole in his mouth until he turns five or six) to seeing my husband four days in the last month to having revisions from hell to packing my house up to put it on the market (only to be told we don't have to move after all) to having a junior-high kid hitting puberty and going insane to potty-training my two-year-old to having numerous speaking engagements to having my babysitter get sick on the four days my husband wasn't in town to having my mother have a serious health scare to sitting in the middle of my bed with a pint of Haagen-Daaz while crying my eyes out, suffice it to say that the last few weeks have not been the best of my life.

So anyway, I'm sorry that, once again, my blog is late, but to make it up to you, I'm offering to give away a copy of my new book, From Friend to Father. I got my author copies yesterday and they're burning a hole in my dining room table. Post a comment and be entered to win.

Hugs to you Tracy! Sorry you have had such a hard month, but hopefully thing will be much better now. My friend's little girl knocked out one of her baby teeth last week. She was afaid that she was in trouble, until she realized that now the tooth fairy would finally come to her house. Her little mouth is so cute, but it looks like it will be a long time before a tooth comes in.

Oh, Tracy, that's awful. I hope you find some time to take a day or two alone and take care of yourself for a while. Hugs to you and your family.

It's one of those months that even with your writer's imagination you couldn't have come up with all that. No wonder they say truth is stranger than fiction. I hope everything calms down soon for you. The physical & mental toll is a lot at once. Take care.

Oh Tracy, SO sorry! I cannot imagine. I thought MY past few weeks was bad? I would be babbling incoherantly if I had been through what you have been through. I wish I lived closer so I could be there for you. Sending cyber hugs your way and LOTS of positive vibes that things WILL get better SOON.

You poor thing! I'm with Juliet, I'm sorry I'm not closer to help you through those rough times. Will hubby be home for Mother's Day? I think he owes you a nice one.
