Yes, I forgot to blog today, and just realized it now. I am a terrible Sizzling Pen. My defense--a bladder infection that has left me uncomfortable, irritable and and in a lot of pain. It sucks.
Other than that, everything else is...well, sucks too. Found out I have to pay $2000 in taxes (someone please make me feel better and tell me a tax story where you had to pay more than that! LOL!). Oh, and my car broke down = more money I now owe.
So that's been my week. The only highlight has been that I'm now addicted to the show House. I'm been marathoning the seasons and am now at season 5, almost caught up to the current episodes. Is it just me, or is that a really great show?!
Okay, excuse the shortness of this late blog. Gotta go to the bathroom to experience another single drop of agony-inducing burning. Everyone pray that my antibiotics start working!
Oh...questions...hmmm...tell me a bad tax story, or if you like House, or if your pee burns, or whatever else is on your mind. Apparently today is the day to share things other people might not want to know (or care to know LOL!)

Ok I have a good tax story for ya. For a couple of years in a row we owed way more than $2k in taxes. The worst year was $11k. Yeah talk about taking the wind out of our sails! It was devastating.
We don't have those problems anymore. Withdrawal adjustments and overall making less money solved that, LMAO.
Take care of yourself, hope you feel better soon!
LMAO!!
That's all.
Oh, and feel better!
Hope you are better...Elle.
We have to pay taxes in five states (plus federal). We do get off scott free because the sixth state doesn't have an income tax. My husband's firm either does business in them or has an office in them. We have to pay them quarterly, too.

I don't have a bad tax story. I don't watch House. My pee doesn't burn (thank God and all his archangels). But I can get you addicted to another TV show whilst you're waiting for the antibiotics to kick in - try Battlestar Galactica. I know it looks like a big boring man space show, but it's not. It's full of gorgeous guys and super-strong heroines - perfect for a Blaze writer!
ok, I've been wanting to try Battlestar Galactica ever since Whoopi started raving about it on the View. Guess I better see if I can rent the first season orwhatever, cause I hate starting a show in the middle. I DO watch House, and love it, but I almost quit watching last year because I was getting tired of the same ol same ol. BUt they've imporved ever since they had Wilson going out with Bitch and then killed off the Bitch. This season has been much better. And how about Kutner committing suicide so he could go work for Obama?? Omg, I was so shocked when I saw that episode and then saw the news the next day about what the actor was going to be doing now!! Too Cool!
No tax woes, but that's because we have 3 little deductions. I think Id almost rather pay 2K in taxes then go thru all the hell my teens have put me thru. Trade you, Elle!
Hope you feel better NOW!
Did you doctor say you couldn't take AzoStandard? It will immediately take away your symptoms and it should be safe since you've already been diagnosed.
Bless your heart!!!!
I remember a couple years back I had to have a liver biopsy and afterward my dad asked me how I felt. I told him, "like someone just sucker punched me in the side." (cuz it hurt like a MOFO!)
Then a few weeks later I was watching House and Cameron did a liver biop on House and he barely flinched. THEN he got up and hobbled around on his cane and I was like, "NO WAY!!! He can't move for four hours!" which I guess would have totally killed that episode.
FWIW I'd almost rather have to pay 2k in taxes than have another one ;-)
oh gosh, these comments have totally cheered me up LOL! Karen, 11K in taxes?! Eek!
And Anne, I'm now intrigued with BAttlestar Galactica--I'll have to start marathoning after I catch up on my house episodes...
Juliet, OMG--Kutner kills himself?!!! I haven't gotten to tht episode yet, you terrible girl! LOL! Don't worry, I love spoilers, and now I can't wait to see it. And I couldn't believe it when Wilson started dating Cutthroat Bitch--those episodes were awesome!
I had to pay over $3000 in taxes one year. We sold 3 properties in one year and I had a small interest in each, so I had to pay in extra that year(in addition to the massive amount that already comes out of my paychecks).
I love watching House, but normally don't get to see it until re-runs. I have way too many shows on my dvr right now.
Hope you feel better soon Elle!
My tax story is mostly irritating. I was reassessed for the last year I did my own taxes (4 or 5 years previously). They said I owed about $123.00. So I sent in a cheque. A couple months later, they reassessed me again and said they made a mistake and I got my money back.
I like House too.
I love House-- I swear, sometimes I think we share a brain, Elle! As for tax stories-- every year my property taxes go up obscenely. Last year I was expecting a 10K bill and got hit with a 13K one instead. Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
chey, good to hear you got your money back--that hasn't happened to me in years!
Tracy, double yuck on the property taxes. They've gone up here too.
